Phipps Conservatory’s Spring Flower Show: Masterpieces in Bloom

I had an interview with the Phipps last Tuesday, and had a chance to walk through their spring flower show afterwards. Even though I hadn’t eaten all day, I walked around with my heavy backpack and camera for 2 hours until they closed.

I love the creative use of gravel, and how the bedding breaks into the walkway. There may be some ideas here for home gardens.. The blues, pinks, and whites are tribute to Degas.

Beautiful topiary, surrounded by the tallest snapdragons (Antirrhinum majus) I’ve ever seen. Cut snaps back after flowering, for a second bloom as the season cools off.
